Most recently, Concho has sucessfully aquired in excess of 100,000 acres of leases in the Kansas Mississippian Lime Play in South Central Kansas.
The supervision and management of land services necessary for completion of $37mm project in Northeast Oklahoma that incorporated advanced technologies to enhanced recovery operations in a mature producing area of Oklahoma. Concho provided the co-venture partners with title research, lease acquisition, due diligence and related government permits. Concho was primarily responsible for most of the trades with Texaco, Oxy, Arco and Questar to acquire existing fields within the project areas.
After closing these trades we were responsible for the acquisition of additional leasehold and mineral rights to develop the leases, merge separate leases into unitized fields, update and maintenance of lease/land records for the properties and resolve land related disputes with surface owners and state and federal agencies. This project required the drilling and re-drilling of approximately 450 wells, as well as settlement and oversight of more than 300 claims for damages, relocations and buyouts.
Concho completed a multimillion-dollar title research and lease acquisition effort in the Arkoma Basin of Oklahoma on behalf of a major oil company. This effort resulted in our client acquiring oil and gas leases covering in excess of 24,000 net mineral acres. Also, we managed and completed the seismic permitting and quality control efforts on an eighty governmental sections 3-D study of the prospect are.
Concho provided the surface/mineral/leasehold ownership reports, status reports, lease purchase reports, title curative and technical support necessary for the client to take the "deal" on the street and quickly find a partner. The "Arkoma" is not an easy area to work but we completed this project under the client's budget projections.
Concho provided land title and leasing services on a West Texas deep gas prospect which resulted in the acquisition, on behalf of our client, of approximately 36,000 net acres of leases. We also managed the seismic permitting and owner relations aspects of a 3-D seismic shoot of the prospect area covering 74 governmental sections.
Concho provided land title and leasing services on a pinnacle reef play in East Texas which resulted in the acquisition, on behalf of our client, of approximately 40,000 net acres of leases.
The company negotiated land acquisition for an underground natural gas storage facility site in Central Kansas for HNG Storage Co., a Texas utility subsidiary. Under the direction of I.G.C., Inc. (a Houston, Texas engineering firm), Concho identified and presented to the client both primary and secondary locations deemed suitable for development.
We then provided land value/profile analysis, fair market value and use reports, prepared legal documents, negotiated options to purchase and worked with various governmental agencies to assure compliance with all rules and regulations.
